Ingredient Notes:

  • Garlic – I use a garlic press to mince my garlic into tiny bits. Jarred garlic is okay, but the pieces of garlic are larger.
  • Heavy Cream – Use heavy whipping cream for this recipe. Half and half will not work.
  • Basil – fresh or dried is fine.
  • Olive Oil – Use extra virgin olive oil.
  • Parmesan Cheese – You can use only parmesan cheese or a combination including romano cheese.
  • Black Pepper – This is optional.
  • Fresh Basil – Optional

What are the best gluten free pasta brands to serve this gluten free sauce?

My favorite gluten free pasta is by Jovial. It has the best texture compared to other gluten free pasta brands. I also like Tinkyada (rice pasta), Bionaturae (corn and rice combination), and Sam Mills (corn pasta). I also like Banza because it is a high-protein pasta, but the bean flavor doesn’t go well with the Alfredo flavor.
